Hi, my name is Chase and I am a 17 year old boy who starting a new business as a 13 year old. Due to my interests in drawing and technology, I decided to start a company using my sketches on clothing and other items. I launched my website on December 1st, 2020, which was Giving Tuesday.
My company’s original logo and the first t-shirt design is from an inspirational sketch that I did while doodling. I enjoy doodling which is why I decided to take my passion and turn it into a business.
I was very excited about my new venture and wanted to make it grow and be profitable, however, I was also very interested in giving back to help people in need. As a result, I decided to donate 25% of my profits to local homeless shelters, foster kid organizations, or other organizations that help people in need. My first philanthropic endeavor was when I was about 5 where I donated 50% of my lemonade stand profit to a local foster care organization called A Better Way. By starting Cha-ze Cool, I have been able to continue to donate to organizations that I care about.
In starting my new business I have learned a lot, ranging from how to make a website (especially one with e-commerce), to how T-shirts are made, to how upfront costs affect the business’s bottom line and how and where to donate part of the business’s profit.
Since I love to doodle, I will continually come up with new sketches and ideas, so look for new products and updates as I will often bring in new ideas, designs and products.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my business, purchase my products and most importantly to also give back to the community.
And whatever you do.... stay Cha-ze Cool!
